Staff Director is an excellent program for not only scheduling your staff, but managing your payroll costs. It is user friendly, and updates in real time so that at any given time, you can see what staff has already arrived for their shift and punched in. StaffDirector is a great payroll program. It helps not only the Administrators to view all the staff punches, schedules and biweekly hours but it also releases a lot of daily pressure and issues by letting each Manager in different departments manage each individual schedules, punches and correct any missed punches. It is also a great tool when it comes to payroll requests from the Department of Labor; you are able to show the scheduled times and the actual punches on one print out. (Two documents in one!). The scheduling tool is easy and fast. You can print and email a schedule in a second. You can access StaffDirector to view your staff's activity from anywhere you have internet access.

Staff Director's approach to scheduling methodology:
StaffDirector (SD) uses a "Full Shift Cycle" paradigm in the core of its scheduling engine architecture. In the Vendor Management Mode (VMS), SD covers the shifts life cycle from the moment a need is created to the time when the Healthcare Professional (HCP) uses a biometric hand punch reader (HPU - Hand Punch Unit) to punch out at the end of the shift, thus completing the shift or bringing it to the end of its life cycle and ready for payroll and invoicing. Throughout the shift's life cycle, SD allows maximum collaboration between the Healthcare Facility, the Staffing Agency and the HCP, eliminating discrepancies between them.
StaffDirector uses Multi-Tiered Client Server system architecture to create high levels of abstraction between various system layers. In the system development jargon, this means that the system design is extremely flexible and can easily accommodate growth and expansion, without effecting existing features and functionalities.
Unlike most other VMS and Process Flow Management Systems (PFMS), SD was designed as a Wide Area Network (WAN) application. This means that the application may be used on any computer with internet, but unlike its HTML-based rivals, SD offers a true Real Time capability. The user does not have to click 'Refresh' button to see changes or updates in the system. The data is pushed to the client application immediately after a change is made in the database. In addition, SD client preloads necessary data at session startup to reduce the wait after each click.
System Security is yet another benefit of a client-server design. SD encapsulates the highest levels of security into its architecture. Security is handled on individual tiers separately: Server Tier Security, Client (Application) Tier Security and Network Security. Together, these three tiers provide above industry standard level of security.
